Ken Rebman – Czann’s Brewmaster
The Brew Master's overall approach to designing each beer is to strike a balance between solid malt flavor and hop bitterness. Base and most of the specialty malts are supplied by Franco-Belges, one of the largest malteries in Europe. Rather than just adding bitterness, German and American hop varieties are selected to add to the overall flavor of each beer. And finally a clean yeast strain allows the flavor contribution from each ingredient to stand out in every glass.
Czann’s Brewing Company has a catalog of several ale recipes that will be available year round and seasonally.
A dark wheat beer featuring caramel and munich malts from Germany, France, and Belgium. Brewed with German Hefeweizen yeast for the traditional banana and clove flavor, complimented by the underlying dark malt flavor.
5.5% ABV, 20 IBU’s
Czann’s Pale Ale
Brewed using 4 different malts and 3 hop additions. Dark crystal malt is used to create its deep color and low bittering hops are used for a unique hop flavor that doesn’t overpower the complex malt flavor of the beer. 5.25% ABV, 38 IBU’s
A light enjoyable beer that doesn’t taste watered down. Five different malts are used to create a full malt profile while keeping the beer dry and light. With only 2 hop additions this beer has a pleasant clean finish. 4.25% ABV, 18 IBU’s
Features citrus flavored hops. An unfiltered ale with balanced bitterness and light crystal malt makes this version a “drinkable” IPA. 6.2% ABV, 53 IBU’s
Czann’s Oatmeal Stout
This rich stout features black patent, chocolate malt, and more oatmeal than you can shake a mash paddle at. We burned the midnight oil to make sure this ale ended up roasty up front with enough oatmeal on the back to make you wish you could drink it for breakfast. 5.5% ABV, 29 IBU’s
